Cornerstone Alpaca Stud was thrilled to host Isabellas 13th Birthday Party. Every detail of the day was perfect, from the weather, the cake, the decorations to the beautiful alpaca headbands the friends wore and had specially made by Gerty Brown. The table was set up with traditional Peruvian colours and the Alpaca cake was the perfect focal point. The birthday girl arrived and was surprised and very happy to see all her friends and how beautifully her mom had decorated the space. Everyone made their way around the table and dug into a feast of chips, chocolate, crispy veggies and cooldrinks. Everyone was very excited to see some alpacas so they grabbed bowls of alpaca pellets and made their way to the trailer waiting outside to take them to the herd of Alpacas. Safety briefing was done and everyone hopped on the trailer which was driven by the owner Dave. As the trailer made its way to the herd, you could see the ears of the alpacas stand up and becoming more and more interested in this new trailer bringing all these friends to feed them. It was the perfect setting, no wind and the tall trees towering over us. Everyone was able to get up close to the Alpacas and fed them from their hands and got gorgeous photos and lots of cuddles. Everyone made their way back to the shop and decided it would be a great time to try the soap felting using alpaca fibre. The different stations were all set up and ready to start felting. The girls had an artistic sense and found the felting process very easy. They made the most beautiful buff soaps with gorgeous colours and I could see the sense of pride they had in themselves for what they had just created. After the soap felting a few friends decided they would like to lead the alpacas on halters. The alpacas had colourful pompoms draped around their necks which looked very festive, traditional and made the most beautiful photos. The alpacas had so much excitement throughout the morning that some of them decided they would rather sit down and relax rather that walk up and down 😊 The other friends tried out some garden activities that were set up. Mostly alpaca themed such as Alpcaca tic-tak-toe, Pin the tail on the Alpaca, Can you find the alpacas hidden in the garden? And bean bag toss games. Fun was had by all! Then is was time to sing Happy Birthday and have some of that delicious birthday cake. We all sang happy birthday, Isabella blew out all her candles and everyone dug into the most amazing Alpaca birthday cake. We would like to thank you and your family for choosing Cornerstone Alpacas as the place to make these beautiful memories you can treasure forever!

Alpacas For Sale!!!
We've got two very special boys available for sale. Heath (White) and Magnum (Black) are fully halter trained and very easy to handle, they'll feed out of your hands and they don't mind a hug or two. They will also make for wonderful breeding males and come from distinguished bloodlines. Feel free to contact us for more info about the two boys or any other alpaca related queries. I Just love felting with alpaca and silk! A luxurious combination and great for colour and texture! These scarves are the newest of my alpaca creations. They are handmade using the best quality alpaca fibre from our own alpacas. Felting to me is like painting with fibre. It is always so exciting to see the end result after the felting process! Two items will just never be the same, so they are unique and one of a kind.
They are part of my designer range, Alpaca Bejeweled, and are made on the farm. They are sold with the brooches, as I just feel the bling and alpaca compliment each other so well :) We have a wide variety in our shop on the farm and I'm creating new ones regularly! So make sure to visit our online store regularly. Our alpaca shop is on our farm in Gordonton, New Zealand. Sonja Blom ~ Cornerstone Alpacas |
