Let there be light
When I created Let There Be Light, I wanted to capture the awe-inspiring moment of creation as described in the Bible. The words “Let there be light” have always resonated with me, marking the very beginning of everything—God’s first act in bringing the universe into existence.
In this painting, I tried to visually interpret that powerful command. The dynamic movement of the paint is meant to represent the burst of energy and life that came with God’s word. The light isn’t just a physical phenomenon in the painting; it’s a symbol of God’s presence, His wisdom, and the illumination that brings order and meaning to the world.
The contrast between light and dark was important for me to convey. The darkness symbolizes the void and the absence of life, while the light stands for hope, life, and the goodness that flows from God’s creation. I wanted anyone who views this piece to feel the profound significance of that first light breaking through the darkness.
Through Let There Be Light, I hope to convey the message of the power of God’s word and the beauty of His creation.
