Granero at Cornerstone Alpaca Stud is a stunning DIY barn wedding venue that offers something truly special and different! Great for corporate functions, events or other functions, Granero barn is a venue located in Gordonton, very close to Hamilton. You'll experience the rural farm atmosphere with the convenience of city accommodation close by.
Our venue has a rustic/modern and industrial feel which can seat 90 people - tables & chairs are provided. It also includes a stunning bar counter from where drinks can be served. There is a beautiful gazebo with a timber pathway for the ceremony, completed with amazing leadlight panels. An additional under cover area, our Garden Veranda was added a while ago and provides extra covered space. It is an artistic space decorated with beautifully designed colourful panels that highlight the stunning Waikato sunsets at Cornerstone Alpaca Stud.
As an alpaca farm you'll have alpacas in paddocks as backdrop for your wedding day or function, included in the price!!
This is a great opportunity for stunning memorable and unique photos to capture your special day. As a special for weddings, two alpacas on leads will also be available for your photo shoot on the farm! This is a wonderful plus as your guests will also love to engage with these adorable friendly animals - never to be forgotten!
Self-catering weddings are now big and at Cornerstone Alpacas Granero you can use your favourite caterers and save! As we do not provide kitchen facilities, this gives you the opportunity to use your own special caterer or hire a foodtruck(s) for your event.
There is a Smart TV in Granero that you can connect to your computer for presentations or slide shows. The use of a white board is available with the hire of the barn for corporate functions/meetings. We have a fixed projector screen so you can just bring your own projector for presentations.
A PA sound system is available with a wireless microphone.
Also an ideal venue for conferences, presentations, seminars, forums, offsite meetings, staff reviews, board meetings and staff meetings. Treat your staff to a day out into the country! Fresh air, alpacas ... creative ideas!
To make your wedding more relaxed on the day, you can set-up from 3pm the previous day, have the venue for the full day and pack-up the day after, before 11am.

No selling of alcohol will be allowed without the necessary license. If you are going to supply alcohol, you must acquire a special license from the Waikato District Council and Cornerstone Alpacas Ltd must be given a copy before the use of the bar. This can take up to 20 working days.
